On Saturday 17 November 2007 in Holland:G4 Productions powered by MAX presents: ULTIMATE GLORY 6 - “Champion vs Champion” Major Professional Shooto and Muay Thai Event. In that event current and fresh Shooto World Champion Siyar “da Killa” Bahadurzada will face Ultimate Combat World Champion Nathan “Satan” Schouteren in a highly anticipated rematch. The 2 fought more than 3 years ago with Nathan claiming the victory on points. Ever since that day, current Shooto light heavyweight World Champion Siyar Bahadurzada is waiting to avenge his only Shooto loss! Now the time has come! The two will square off on Saturday 17 November in Ede in another exciting Ultimate Glory show.

Ultimate Glory co-promoter and Team Golden Glory co-owner Ron Nyqvist says: “Everybody in the European Shooto scene wanted this rematch for a long time, but not more than Siyar “da Killa” himself”. “As Siyar’s manager I know how much he wanted this rematch, Siyar felt that he didn’t lost the first time they fought but at the same time he is mad at himself that he left it in the judges hands”. “Finally the time has come for him to be able to set the record straight”. “People should buy a ticket just to see this fight”!

So we decided to catch up with “Da Killa”and see how his preparation is going for this event

KP-     How long have you been training at Golden Glory?
SB- I have been training at Golden Glory for 1 year

KP-

When did you leave Afghanistan? Did you train there? If so what?
SB- I did not train in Afghanistan. I started training after1 year, when I came to Holland

KP- Was it difficult to adjust to a new country and a new gym?
SB- I have been trained since the beginning of my career by my current trainer Martijn de Jong

KP- What is the best thing about being a member of the Golden Glory team?
SB- Golden Glory is one the best teams in the world, If not the best team in the world.

KP- What is the best part of your game?
SB- The best part of my game is my being all around. I can fight stand up and on the ground well.

KP- Are you training differently for this match?
SB- Not really, I train hard for every fight. I want to win my fights in my trainings… In the ring I will just show how hard I trained.

KP- Now that you are the Shooto Champion does it add any pressure when you fight to defend the title?
SB- Of course, I am the champion, people expect to see great things from me and I am also eager to show my fans that I deserve this belt. It works out well for me, because when I’m under pressure, I am at my best!

KP-
You lost to Nathan a few years ago by points, does this motivate you extra for this fight?
SB- This is the only loss I have in Shooto. I will avenge this loss and I will make people remember this fight for a long, LONG time!

KP- How is this fight going to be different from the others?
SB- Normally I love to knock out my opponents, but this fight…I will not be willing to finish it as soon as possible. It will be a 3 rounds fight!!! And why? It’s personal!

KP- Fighting the main event in Ultimate Glory is a big deal, what can we expect to see from you in this fight?
SB- You can see all my skills in this fight, kickboxing, wrestling, and ground fighting.

KP- What is the hardest thing for you to do in preparation for a match?
SB- The hardest thing is to avoid that I do not get over-trained… Because I train hard every time I appear in the gym.
